In this project, Alena led art classes for both displaced communities of Ukrainians - those who belong to AUGB (Edinburgh Ukrainian Community Centre) and those who had been located at MS Victoria - the Ukrainian temporary accommodation ship docked in the port of Leith. This fruitful partnership with the dedicated team of The Wee Hub allowed us to bring participants to a very inspiring place converted from the former Debenhams store at Ocean Terminal. Alena ran this series by collaborating with a peer media artist Cecilia Volpi. This collaboration helped to explore new ideas including the basics of photography that participants were particularly excited to learn about.
